Privacy policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026
This policy covers the ShowJumpingCalendar website (showjumpingcalendar.com and presspony.com) and the PressPony app for iPhone and iPad. Both are run by Software Essentials, based in the Netherlands. We don't sell your data and there are no ads.
What we store
- Your email address, and a name and profile photo if you add them.
- What you need to sign in: sign-in codes, your passkeys and your active sessions.
- The shows, riders and horses you follow, so your schedule is the same on every device.
- A push token for each device where you switch notifications on.
- If you're a photographer: your profile, rates, availability and the booking requests you send or receive.
- Basic usage and crash data, such as which pages or screens were opened, your approximate city (from your IP address) and error reports. On the website, analytics cookies are only set if you agree to them.
Show schedules, start lists and results come from public sources like the FEI. That isn't data you give us.
What we use it for
Running the service. That means signing you in, keeping what you follow in sync, sending the notifications you ask for, putting photographers in touch with riders and organisers, and fixing things when they break. The only emails we send are sign-in emails and things you asked us to tell you about.
Who else handles it
Our servers are in the Netherlands. Traffic goes through Cloudflare, Apple delivers push notifications and an email provider delivers sign-in emails. They only get what they need for their part.
How long we keep it
Account data stays for as long as you have an account. Usage data is deleted or reduced to totals once we no longer need it. When you delete your account, it is removed for good after 30 days. If you sign in again before then, the deletion is cancelled.
Your rights
You can change your details and delete your account yourself, in the app under the You tab, then Settings and privacy, or on the website under Account & Security. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or erase it. If you're not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
